Chainlink And The Meme Magic

Chainlink and Pepe Meme are said in the crypto community to be a match made in heaven. And while the discussion becomes completely arcane, Chainlink is one of the most successful crypto projects associated with big names in mass business.

Whether a big cyber hood is behind it or not, let's see what's going on with Chainlink.

Chainlink is primarily a decentralized oracle network that provides off-chain data for on-chain resources. It is a large blockchain interoperability project that acts as a middleware for different environments, creating a connection between them.

Chainlink not only enables interoperability by connecting blocks; It is also designed to connect a decentralized environment to a centralized environment.

Many decentralized applications work with their own external data. And in many cases, the data comes from centralized sources that can be easily manipulated or are simply inaccurate.

Chainlink aims to solve this problem with Oracle nodes, which aim to create a reliable and durable network. In this network, off-chain data is easily accessible and verifiable. Node operators have stored their historical and real-time performance online for all to see.

There are many complex use cases that ChainLink can support, some of which include:

  • Insurance;
  • market data;
  • retail payments;
  • given events.

Chainlink smart contracts enable projects to get everything they need to access off-chain data and connect it to APIs and datasets using Oracle.

Off-chain architecture

The off-chain architecture plan began as a project in the creation of Chainlink, which provides oracle services for the Ethereum network.

Chainlink Core Oracle provides a network of nodes that manage the real-time interaction of the blockchain with external resources of any industry. And for the most part, Chainlink's off-chain architecture follows the same principles.

Chain architecture

The on-chain architecture consists of a network consisting of independent nodes that collect data from oracles and respond to data requests from user demand contracts.

In terms of contracts, there are three main types of contracts designed for on-chain architectures:

  • reputation contract;
  • order matching contracts;
  • collective agreement.

The reputation agreement aims to verify the reputation of the Oracle service provider.

The order matching contract then processes the requests from the Oracle suppliers based on the service level agreement (SLA) parameters.

And the collective agreement is tasked with collecting responses from oracle providers and finalizing final results for chain connection requests.

Chain safety

Chainlink Security consists of 4 main security services:

  • validation system ;
  • reputation system ;
  • certification services ;
  • Contract improvement services .

The first three systems are intended to guide users, while the last one is optional.

The authentication system monitors the nodes in the chain network and evaluates them based on their availability and accuracy.

In a chain link verification system, availability refers to the ability of a node to respond to messages for certain rate metrics.

Accuracy will be measured by comparing a node's response to other nodes' responses to a specific task. Therefore, any deviation from the average response will negatively affect the accuracy of the node.

As for the reputation system, its main purpose is to incentivize nodes to generate honest data immediately. It will contain the chain history that determines most of the node's ranking factors. The reputation system tracks a node's total number of granted, completed and accepted requests, average response time and number of penalties.

The certification system is used to prevent node fraud. It prevents freeloading, Sybil, mirroring and other types of attacks. The certification system aims to detect and prevent these attacks by authorizing quality Oracle vendors.

Finally, the optional contract update system is a service that Chainlink network users can use when they want to apply security updates to their smart contracts.

Link is the native currency of Chainlink and is one of the best performing altcoins. It is an ERC20 token with additional ERC223 functionality and is mainly used for clearing off-chain nodes.

The price and demand of the token is determined by the number of available operators that provide off-chain services in the chain link. The more login tokens are used in the Chainlink environment, the more valuable they should be.

Additionally, Link Token started at around $11.30 in January 2021 and peaked at $52.28 in May, proving that the market is still capable of 500% exponential growth.

Big names associated with Chainlink

By interacting with major players in the business world, Chainlink received several votes of confidence, which helped further the development of its project and influenced the growth of Link Token.

In June 2019 , Google Cloud Chainlink integrated Oracle into its analytics data warehouse. Through the collaboration between Chainlink and Google Cloud, the companies sought to make it easier for developers to build technology by allowing developers to access cloud data on public blockchains, including with Oracle.

In the same month, software giant Oracle announced a partnership with Chainlink, which aims to help startups use Oracle Chainlink to monetize their APIs on the Oracle Blockchain platform.

In addition, Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems became the operator of Chainlink nodes in July 2020 .

Chainlink partnered with UNESCO in January 2022 to increase global awareness and knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts and Oracle technologies. As a result of this collaboration, they will create open and easily accessible educational resources and development programs for people and businesses around the world.

Meanwhile, in February 2022, Chainlink and UNICEF began collaborating to empower communities through blockchain technology. These relationships have opened up new social and economic opportunities, providing greater transparency and more effective coordination than would have been possible with more traditional systems.

Chain link 2.0

Meanwhile, Chainlink plans to release additional features between January and February 2022. As the roadmap shows, the company is preparing a major update to Chainlink 2.0. The 2.0 update provides a long-term, multi-year plan to further develop the platform's capabilities to support the rapid growth of the Oracle Chainlink decentralized network and the use of smart contracts.

The significance of this development update is that DONs will come together to form an off-chain computing layer capable of coordinating hybrid smart contracts.

The magic of memes

But what about meme magic and what does it have to do with link markers?

Well, they say the magic of memes is a thing, and because of it, Chainlink will earn $1,000 per link .

Pepe's meme is apparently based on an ancient Egyptian god named Keck. With this in mind, some online communities treat Pepe as a god and use the strategy of charging a token that serves as a proxy for a secret scheme.

At the end of the day, we can't tell if this meme magic is real or not. However, we must consider what we do know.

Text plus image works much better than text alone. A message is 6 times more likely to be remembered when accompanied by a relevant image than plain text.

This is why the power of memes is immense.

And Chainlink isn't the first cryptocurrency to harness the power of memes. Dogecoin is probably the most popular cryptocurrency to use as a meme.

Dogecoin rose to prominence with the doge meme and building its brand around an image of a Mona Lisa-like Shiba Inu.
